Clinical Hypnotherapy

There is nothing either mysterious or magical about hypnotherapy. Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state of consciousness in which you access deeper levels of awareness than in your normal day-to-day functioning. This provides you with wider choices about the way you feel, think and behave. Clinical or therapeutic hypnosis is in fact a very relaxing and enjoyable experience and can be very effective in helping you improve your life. It's often faster than many other therapies and without the side-effects sometimes connected with drugs.

Hypnotherapy can help with a variety of stress related problems such as anxiety, phobias, lack of confidence, panic attacks, stopping smoking, habit cessation, weight control, pain control. It can also help with a variety of physical symptoms that may have a psychological basis, such as headaches and irritable bowel syndrome.

Maggie Sutton is a Clinical Hypnotherapist working at Six Ways Clinic as well as in other Natural Health Centres in Herefordshire and Shropshire.  She has been practicing as a therapist for 10 years, after graduating from the British Clinical & Strategic Hypnosis Association in London.

Maggie’s approach is future focussed, and her aim is to help patients to become empowered and make the desired changes in their lives as quickly as possible, through brief strategic approaches which also incorporate Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), EMDR and Thought Field Therapy.
